About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create civil engineering plans, details, calculations, and documentation for renewable energy and land development projects.
- Support site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, access roads, and related civil design scope.
- Apply civil engineering principles, standards, procedures, and criteria to develop practical and constructible design solutions.
- Prepare project documentation, including drawings, reports, technical studies, specifications, and supporting calculations.
- Coordinate design work with internal project teams, including civil, structural, electrical, project management, and other disciplines.
- Review site constraints, permitting requirements, jurisdictional standards, and project-specific criteria.
- Identify design issues, project risks, and opportunities to improve quality, constructability, or efficiency.
- Support project execution in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Perform essential duties, including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in civil engineering design, land development, renewable energy, infrastructure, site design, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, codes, and design practices.
- Ability to prepare or contribute to engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and project documentation.
- Ability to identify and solve engineering problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be both creative and analytical.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative approach to project delivery and cross-functional coordination.
