About the role

  • Actively prospect companies with cross-border payment needs and present the value proposition of the B2B solution
  • Identify decision-makers and map key accounts, developing medium- and long-term commercial relationships
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of companies that use or require payment solutions via APIs
  • Represent Retorna at trade shows, events, or key meetings to generate partnerships or commercial leads
  • Understand each prospect's financial flows and adapt the pitch to their specific needs (consultative selling)
  • Drive sales of API-based B2B solutions, focusing on the product's technical and commercial value proposition
  • Collaborate with the product and operations teams to tailor the solution to client-specific requirements
  • Build and maintain a healthy, documented pipeline in the CRM (HubSpot or similar)
  • Participate in preparing commercial proposals, contractual negotiations, and closing high-value deals
  • Manage the full commercial cycle, ensuring lead-to-customer conversion
  • Gather market and customer insights to contribute to the evolution of the B2B product
  • Identify opportunities to improve the value proposition based on customer feedback and market trends

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Commercial Engineering, or related fields
  • At least 3 years of experience in B2B business development, consultative sales, or account management (KAM)
  • Experience working with international payments
  • Experience in the payouts/disbursement industry, selling API-based solutions, and managing B2B client portfolios
  • Experience selling solutions to importing companies or businesses with international payment needs
  • Knowledge of the payouts/disbursements industry and B2B payment solutions
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, sales reporting, and pipeline management
  • Understanding of API-based solutions and their value to enterprise clients
  • Familiarity with remittances, cross-border payments, or B2B solutions for LATAM
  • Proven ability to generate and close high-value deals (mid-to-high ticket)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong persuasion and presentation abilities
  • Commercial acumen and a strategic approach to identifying opportunities
  • Ability to prioritize and work autonomously
  • Intermediate/advanced level of English (ideal for clients outside LATAM).
