About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sales of plastic pipe systems for civil engineering across an extended regional sales territory as a Key Account Manager, responsible for managing existing accounts and project business
- Ongoing development of active sales through management of the customer base and acquisition of new customers on both technical and commercial levels
- Technical and commercial consulting for building authorities, municipalities and specialist planners (engineering firms), as well as building materials distributors and construction companies
- Support in the planning and supervision of civil engineering construction projects
- Continuous market monitoring and providing input for new and special applications
- Conducting training sessions as well as company and product presentations
- Active collaboration with your colleagues in internal and external sales, product management, application engineering, quality management, etc.
- Participation in trade fairs and customer events, possibly also on a cross-regional basis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed technical or commercial vocational training, degree in civil engineering, technician qualification, or comparable qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in civil engineering, ideally in pipeline systems, sewer construction, road/transport infrastructure construction or drainage
- Sales experience (technical affinity) and prior field sales activity desirable
- High willingness to travel across a regional/national territory (working from a home office)
- Strong customer orientation and entrepreneurial thinking and action
- Down-to-earth attitude, reliability, initiative and a structured way of working
- Confident use of Office tools; ERP experience desirable
- German language skills at native level
