About the role
- Maintain, enhance, and further develop a long-lifespan, stored-procedure–centric application.
- Lead query tuning, indexing, and performance diagnostics for large-scale, complex databases.
- Design, develop, and deploy mission-critical SSRS reports.
- Partner with internal client managers to capture business requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks.
- Manage and prioritize technical tasks triaged through the help desk (Javan).
- Document all database changes and uphold best practices for multi-environment migrations.
- Contribute to database design patterns for new or enhanced modules.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of hands-on SQL Server experience in production environments with a heavy emphasis on stored procedure usage.
- Proven expertise in query tuning and performance optimization for large, complex databases.
- Demonstrated experience in the full SSRS development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Ability to work effectively in a "No ORM" environment, writing and maintaining high-performance raw SQL.
- Strong consulting orientation with the ability to bridge the gap between technical team members and non-technical stakeholders.
