About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead the commercial operating foundation supporting the organization’s growth
  • Own strategy, processes, systems, and analytics for forecasting, planning, and revenue growth execution
  • Lead sales operations, revenue forecasting, pipeline management, CRM governance, commercial analytics, proposal operations, pricing insights, sales compensation, and performance reporting
  • Translate growth objectives into operating plans, metrics, and accountability
  • Establish pipeline, forecast, business performance review, and executive reporting rhythms
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, client retention, sales effectiveness, and operational efficiency
  • Own enterprise revenue forecasting strategy, methodologies, and operating rhythms
  • Build forecasting processes, pipeline standards, dashboards, and analytics for pipeline health, sales performance, revenue conversion, profitability, and market opportunities
  • Build and optimize sales processes and lead pipeline management, territory planning, account segmentation, capacity planning, quota setting, and performance analysis
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development leaders to improve opportunity quality, remove growth barriers, and increase productivity
  • Own commercial technology ecosystem strategy and governance, including CRM, reporting, automation, and revenue intelligence platforms
  • Drive data quality, governance, adoption, and technology improvements
  • Oversee proposal operations and commercial support processes
  • Streamline the pursuit-to-contract process and strengthen client handoffs with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Delivery
  • Support pricing strategy, sales compensation, and incentive programs
  • Connect Sales, Marketing, Client Success, Finance, Delivery, and Technology across a seamless commercial operating model
  • Build and develop a Revenue Operations team
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making
  • Perform other projects or duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field required
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Business Operations, Strategy, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years leading enterprise Revenue Operations teams
  • Extensive experience in utility consulting, energy services, energy efficiency, demand-side management, distributed energy resources, electrification, SaaS, engineering services, environmental consulting, or infrastructure-related industries
  • Experience supporting a revenue organization exceeding $250 million annually
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling a Revenue Operations function in a complex, multi-business-unit, professional services, technology, energy, utility, or project-based organization
  • Experience supporting complex, consultative, relationship-driven, proposal-intensive, and long-cycle sales organizations
  • Deep expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, performance analytics, annual planning, process design, and commercial technology governance
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including bookings, backlog, revenue recognition, margin, capacity planning, pricing, and investment tradeoffs
  • Experience advising executive leaders and influencing cross-functional outcomes without relying solely on direct authority
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical operating processes, measurable KPIs, executive reporting, and sustained organizational adoption
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms and business intelligence/reporting tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and change-management skills
  • High standards for data integrity, operational discipline, confidentiality, and sound judgment
  • Ability to travel periodically based on business needs
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check
  • Pre-employment drug screen may be required if applicable
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms preferred
