About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You’ll lead the technical design and plan development for stream and wetland restoration and stormwater management projects
  • Your day may include reviewing survey data, developing HEC-RAS or TR-55 models, creating grading plans in Civil 3D, or coordinating with permitting specialists and PMs
  • You’ll work with junior engineers to produce high-quality plan sets, run QA/QC reviews, and communicate with clients and agencies to support approval processes
  • In the field, you’ll perform site assessments and support QA/QC during construction to ensure plans are implemented as designed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or ecological engineering
  • PE license in the appropriate state
  • 5+ years of professional experience in restoration, stormwater, or site development
  • Advanced capability in stream, wetland, or stormwater management design, including feasibility studies, concept design, and restoration plans development
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, TR-55, GIS, MicroStation)
  • Strong understanding of stream geomorphology, hydraulics, sediment transport, and/or stormwater BMP design
  • Ability to communicate directly with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Comfort leading design work with minimal oversight and supporting QA/QC in the field
  • Experience coordinating work within multi-disciplinary teams
