About the role
- Serve as lead writer and strategist for RTSL’s 2025 digital annual report, including writing concept note and implementing approved concept
- Draft all annual report content in collaboration with RTSL staff and subject matter experts; facilitate reviews and incorporate feedback
- Provide recommendations for format, content structure, visual elements, and UX
- Deliver web-ready, SEO-optimized, accessible content by pre-determined deadlines
- Draft and edit priority website content updates (estimated 2–3 requests per month)
- Translate technical information into clear, compelling content for external audiences
- Ensure all deliverables meet RTSL’s editorial, accessibility, and SEO standards
- In collaboration with the web team, update the website with approved content
- Report to RTSL’s Communications Director (Contract Manager) and support high-priority digital projects through Feb 28, 2026
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in digital content strategy, editorial governance, and/or web management
- Expertise in web content strategy, writing, and user experience (UX)
- Demonstrated ability to write compelling, plain-language content from technical subject matter
- Strong understanding of UX, IA, SEO, and accessibility standards
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on complex digital projects
- Familiarity with WordPress required
- Remote (US-based)
