About the role
- Collaborate with the Design Team on new initiatives by providing insight from the development perspective on new pages, menu adjustments, interactive elements, and functionality requirements.
- Write and edit custom PHP and JavaScript code snippets that work in conjunction with WordPress core and Elementor Pro.
- Build pages and reusable Elementor templates from Figma designs with accurate attention to layout, spacing, typography, and color specifications.
- Proactively identify missing design elements or ambiguities and request clarification rather than making assumptions.
- Provide feedback, suggestions, or alternative solutions when conflicts arise between design vision and platform capability.
- Develop and implement enhancements to the WordPress administrative panel to improve content management workflows.
- Maintain website functionality, including plugin updates, testing and reverting changes, site-level redirects, bug fixes, and general troubleshooting.
- Research and implement solutions for new feature requests, including testing plugins or building new API integrations as needed.
- Manage timelines and deliverables, and provide status updates within Monday Project Boards.
- Participate in team meetings as needed to answer development-specific questions and provide updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in WordPress development and web design implementation.
- Demonstrated experience writing or editing custom PHP and JavaScript code snippets that work in conjunction with WordPress and Elementor Pro.
- Proven ability to build pages from Figma designs with strong attention to design specifications and detail.
- Experience working with Elementor Pro and Advanced Custom Fields Pro.
- Experience with PHP 8.2+ and MySQL 8.0.17+.
- Knowledge of SCSS, JS, and JSON.
- Experience managing plugins, updates, testing, and troubleshooting conflicts.
- Experience handling site-level redirects and break/fix scenarios.
