About the role
- Develop and maintain backend services to support dynamic rules configuration for event-driven workflows
- Implement RAG hooks to enable intelligent retrieval of SOPs tailored to specific event classes
- Integrate backend solutions with upstream AI/ML and observability components to streamline workflow execution
- Optimize system performance and scalability to handle real-time SOP retrieval and event processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend design with project requirements and client standards
- Secure backend APIs, data flows, and RAG retrieval processes in accordance with security and compliance requirements
- Test and validate backend services to ensure reliability, accuracy, and fault tolerance
- Document system architecture, configuration rules, and integration patterns for knowledge sharing and compliance
- Enhance backend capabilities to improve responsiveness and adaptability to evolving project needs
- Support troubleshooting and incident response efforts related to backend workflows and integrations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizenship (required for designated client projects)
- 4+ years of experience in backend engineering for cloud-based or hybrid systems
- Proficiency in implementing rules-based engines and integrating RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) capabilities
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and real-time data processing
- Experience with common backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, or Go)
- Familiarity with API security, data encryption, and role-based access control
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across AI/ML, DevOps, and security teams
- Excellent problem-solving, testing, and documentation skills.
