About the role
- Collaborating with suppliers on product and process development
- Conducting quality audits and resolving quality issues
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Supplier selection and approval
- Leading corrective action processes
- Acting as liaison between internal teams and suppliers
- Validating Supplier Processes for new product introduction
- Ensuring project and process control documentation compliance
- Providing technical advice to suppliers
- Reviewing incoming supplies and finished goods
- Investigating and resolving supplier non-conformances
- Evaluating suppliers’ overall performance
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or Scientific field (MS preferred)
- 2-3 years functional engineering experience within manufacturing
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to travel domestically & internationally (up to 20%)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional departments
- Experience with Process Validations and/or Test Method Validations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Preferred experience in operating within highly regulated industry – preferably medical device industry
- Experience in outsourced contract manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Training & experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kepner-Tregoe and APQP tools & methodologies
- Experience in use of statistical tools (SPC, Gage R&R, Minitab or JMP)
