About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sales of technical plastics within the specified sales territory
- Responsibility for leads: You take ownership of leads throughout the entire sales cycle and systematically execute all related sales process activities
- Pipeline management: You build a balanced pipeline of tactical opportunities and strategic engagements
- Market research and analysis: You conduct research and gather market data and information to analyze short- and long-term trends
- Product lifecycle analyses: You analyze the product lifecycle and market trends to secure and expand the product’s competitive position
- Networking: You establish and maintain close, personal, and partnership-based relationships with customers and build a strong network within your sales territory
- Trend monitoring: You follow and track the latest trends in the plastics industry to ensure we consistently act at the pulse of the market
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed education or degree in business administration, engineering, chemistry or a related field
- Deep product knowledge of technical plastics
- A passion for sales and building long-term customer relationships
- Ability to identify customer needs and develop solutions for them using our broad product portfolio
- Proven experience in B2B sales
- Ideally additional experience in the plastics, electronics or automotive industry (Tier 2)
- Willingness to be frequently "on the road" and view regular travel within your sales territory as an asset
- Enthusiasm for following new trends in your market
- Ability to work independently in your sales territory while being a team player in collaboration with colleagues
- Good German and solid English skills
