💰 $55,000 - $60,000 per year
About the role
- Assist with the creation of the accounting infrastructure/systems and establishing department processes and best practices
- Manage the recording of revenue, cost of revenue and collection of cash
- Assist with treasury and cash management functions including vendor payments, invoicing, collection/tracking of customer balances, and creation of automated solutions
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Complete various local and municipal taxes and filings
- Help develop and maintain compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and operations
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience (internships, co-ops, or full-time roles).
- Basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting function.
