About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of systems that support storage, processing, and retrieval of the Bank’s data products
  • Supporting the delivery of two brand new data collections
  • Implementing changes, resolving defects, applying upgrades, and adding new data to meet evolving business needs
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Operations Group to evolve the data engineering practice using appropriate frameworks and tools and consistently applying these to daily work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, including normalised and dimensional models techniques
  • Skilled in SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and end-to-end ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience in Azure cloud environments
  • Experience supporting analytics and reporting platforms, including enabling curated datasets for tools such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including build and deployment across environments
