About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver meaningful financial analysis and performance reporting
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement and enhance commercial outcomes
- Provide strategic financial advice, insights, and analysis that support informed decision-making and business performance
- Undertake accounting tasks to ensure that the outputs of the Finance Unit are met
- Provide finance business partnering with directorates/business units to give sound financial advice and accounting support
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Support planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary qualification in accounting
- Working towards or holds a Chartered Accountant membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
- CA status (or international equivalent)
- Knowledge of accounting standards is essential
- Advanced computer knowledge, especially spreadsheets and accounting applications
- Experience with TechnologyOne would be an advantage
- Experience with GST, FBT and NRWT tax legislation and compliance issues would be an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication, relationship management, and analytical skills
- Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
