About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver meaningful financial analysis and performance reporting
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement and enhance commercial outcomes
Provide strategic financial advice, insights, and analysis that support informed decision-making and business performance
Undertake accounting tasks to ensure that the outputs of the Finance Unit are met
Provide finance business partnering with directorates/business units to give sound financial advice and accounting support
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
Support planning, budgeting and forecasting processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Tertiary qualification in accounting
Working towards or holds a Chartered Accountant membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
CA status (or international equivalent)
Knowledge of accounting standards is essential
Advanced computer knowledge, especially spreadsheets and accounting applications
Experience with TechnologyOne would be an advantage
Experience with GST, FBT and NRWT tax legislation and compliance issues would be an advantage
Strong written and verbal communication, relationship management, and analytical skills
Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
