About the role
- Participate in verification and validation for all software releases including new features, enhancements, and defect fixes
- Leverage manual and automated testing methodologies for system/component testing
- Support the development of system test solutions and system integration plans, procedures and scenarios
- Prepare and execute comprehensive system/component level test plans, procedures, and test events
- Participate in integrated testing activities and resolving conflicts for competing systems
- Document test requirements and methodologies and review system engineering documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Work with development teams to identify, track, and document quality assurance issues related to operation, performance, and integration
- Monitor system performance trends and suggest opportunities for improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience writing test plans and procedures
- Testing software in a distributed networking environment
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Experience working with Agile Development Practices
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Active US Secret clearance required
- Preferred: experience utilizing automation test tools
- Preferred: experience with Department of Defense Command and Control Systems
