About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and guide daily accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant regulations.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient internal controls.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on key performance indicators and trends.
Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant guidance.
Review customer contracts and assess proper revenue recognition treatment.
Work closely with sales and legal teams to address revenue recognition matters.
Oversee and manage the annual financial audit and income tax preparation processes.
Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, GAAP expertise, and in-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606). Experience with NetSuite is required.
Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
