About the role
- Proactively maintain and retain relationships with existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory
- Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls to retain business with smaller, less complex commercial and industrial customers
- Increase customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of available services, lines of business, and pricing structures
- Perform contractual re-signs on existing customers to extend relationships and increase profitability where appropriate
- Respond to cancellation requests in alignment with established escalation policy
- Proactively communicate with or respond to customers in support of company pricing initiatives
- Utilize Salesforce daily; schedule and document all activities such as calls, meetings and proposals
- Capture customer emails, minimize rate restrictions and customer credits
- Regularly meet with Sales Manager to review weekly customer retention activities, progress versus goals and status of key customer relationships
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (Required)
- Preference to candidates with account management and sales experience
- Waste or transportation industry experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge and use of CRM tool beneficial (Salesforce experience noted)
- Candidate will be covering the Lexington, KY Territory
- Must be available to work any 40 hour work week starting 8am, Monday through Friday
- Remote work requirements: hard-wired internet connection; Ping/Latency 100ms or less; Download 25MBPS; Upload 5MPBS; Packet loss 0%; Cannot use mobile hot-spot, tethering, or Satellite ISP service
- Employee must supply internet and a distraction-free work environment
- Employees are required to be on video in internal meetings and trainings
- Ability to make outbound calls and receive inbound calls
- Experience with Salesforce and documenting activities preferred
