About the role
- Responsible for managing activities related to the facility’s environmental permits, programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Assesses compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations and acts as an advisor to internal customers.
- Participates with management personnel in establishing procedures for administering regulatory compliance programs.
- Reviews analytical data and environmental performance metrics and summarizes and interprets results.
- Prepares permit applications and modifications.
- Conducts regular environmental inspections and supports and tracks corrective actions, if necessary.
- Prepares regulatory and permit required reporting.
- Conducts environmental compliance training.
- Performs other, related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of environmental regulations including hazardous waste, solid waste, water and air.
- Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and technical aptitude.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint applications.
