About the role
- Own end-to-end payroll for 2,300+ employees across multiple states, ensuring 100% accuracy and on-time delivery every cycle
- Drive payroll compliance across all jurisdictions, proactively addressing wage and hour regulations, tax filings, and multi-state/multi-country complexities
- Lead payroll integration for newly acquired practices
- Oversee the full benefits lifecycle: open enrollment, carrier management, plan design, COBRA, ACA compliance, leave administration, and 401(k) operations
- Serve as the system owner and subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now across all modules
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role managing direct reports
- Deep expertise with ADP Workforce Now (or comparable ADP platform) across multiple modules
- Multi-state and multi-jurisdictional payroll experience required; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
- Proven track record in M&A integration
- Strong command of benefits compliance: ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and state-specific leave laws
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field; CPP, CEBS, PHR/SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP certifications are a plus.
