About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create a workplace experience that feels intentional, welcoming, and distinctly “Replit”
  • Act as the day-to-day host of the office—setting the tone, energy, and standards
  • Continuously gather feedback and iterate quickly to improve the in-office experience
  • Manage vendors and contracts across food, facilities, and services
  • Stay plugged into trends in workplace experience, hospitality, and food
  • Anticipate needs before they become problems
  • Own the planning and execution of internal events (team lunches, demos, launches, offsites)
  • Design experiences that bring builders together and strengthen culture
  • Manage event logistics end-to-end (vendors, run-of-show, budgets, setup/teardown)
  • Introduce new, creative event formats and continuously raise the bar on quality
  • Ensure events feel seamless, intentional, and reflective of Replit’s brand
  • Own the full food and beverage experience: meals, snacks, coffee, and everything in between
  • Curate offerings that are high-quality, diverse, and genuinely exciting (not generic office snacks)
  • Develop relationships with local vendors, chefs, and suppliers—bringing in unique options
  • Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and availability day-to-day
  • Introduce new ideas regularly (rotating menus, themed meals, seasonal experiences)
  • Manage budget thoughtfully—maximize impact per dollar without lowering the bar
  • Maintain food safety and operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7-10+ years of experience in a startup environment (required)
  • Experience in workplace management, hospitality, operations, or similar roles
  • Strong ownership mindset—you don’t wait to be told what to fix
  • Deep attention to detail and high standards for quality
  • Experience managing food programs, catering, or vendor relationships
  • Excellent organizational and execution skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from 0 → 1
  • Strong interpersonal skills—you naturally create positive, human experiences
