About the role

  • Hire, mentor, and retain a high performance team of technically talented, creative, and driven builders
  • Be decisive on team strategy and direction, helping Replit achieve company goals and its long term mission of bringing a billion software creators online
  • Set the pace and drive urgency in delivery, to help us win in a hyper competitive market
  • Roll up your sleeves and pitch in on projects, on-call duties, and other team activities
  • Build tooling around Kubernetes, GCP, and Azure to make it easier for engineers to do the right things by default, and to maintain high shipping velocity
  • Help transition our infrastructure to a more resilient regional deployment, and enable advanced Enterprise deployments for users with unique security needs
  • Improve our security posture by leveraging static/dynamic analysis, offensive testing, and by integrating detection into our development process

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent real-world experience in security engineering roles
  • 7+ years of experience in software with at least 2 years in a management role
  • 5+ years in a Site Reliability role
  • Exposure to Security Engineering and DevOps work in prior roles
