About the role
- Lead end-to-end design processes from user research to final implementation
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for technical products
- Partner closely with engineering to understand technical constraints and opportunities
- Participate in product planning and technical architecture discussions
- Translate technical concepts into accessible user experiences
- Design APIs, developer tools, and technical documentation experiences
- Create designs that scale with system complexity and data volume
- Build and maintain design systems and component-based design thinking
- Influence product direction and user adoption in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Requirements
- 6+ years of product design experience, with at least 1+ years designing technical products
- Understanding of web technologies, APIs, and software development processes
- Familiarity with frontend development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
- Experience designing for APIs, databases, or developer tools
- Understanding of system architecture and data flow concepts
- Experience with version control systems (Git) is a plus
- Ability to lead end-to-end design from research to implementation
- Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible user experiences
- Ability to work from Foster City, CA office 3 days per week (Mon/Wed/Fri)
- Willingness to relocate to Foster City, CA if not currently in the Bay Area (application asks)
- Authorization to work in the United States; application asks about visa sponsorship
