About the role
- Run diary studies and other user research to understand user journeys, pain points, and needs
- Train team members on best practices for unbiased research and empower teams to understand customers
- Embed with product pods to work with Product, Design, and Engineering on research initiatives
- Partner with Data Analytics, Product Marketing, and Support to create cohesive narratives of customer problems
- Provide project leadership and guide designers and PMs through research
- Manage multiple research initiatives and prioritize projects independently
- Report to the Head of Design and collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams
Requirements
- 8+ years of user research experience in a startup or B2B/B2C tech companies
- Working knowledge of multiple research methods and approaches
- Experience at companies with multiple customer segments (Consumer, SaaS, etc.)
- Can successfully manage project prioritization and multiple stakeholder relationships independently
- Provide both confident project leadership and patient guidance to a range of stakeholder levels
- Experience conducting diary studies and embedding with product pods on research initiatives
- Experience partnering with Data Analytics, Product Marketing, and Support to synthesize customer insights
- Affinity for developer tools and implementing AI tools into workflows (bonus)
- Degree in Human Computer Interaction or Human Factors a plus (bonus)
- Must be at least 18 years of age (application requirement)
