About the role

Serve as engineering leader for core products, including tenant screening and listings, while reimagining partner integrations to accelerate customer acquisition
Build and drive squads of talented engineers to success in a fast-moving product delivery team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and marketing, to define and execute the product roadmap
Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and CI/CD processes
Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team
Oversee the maintenance and optimization of existing systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
Contribute to the strategic planning of the engineering department, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision-making and technology adoption
Report directly to the CTO and work closely with engineering teams in Thailand

Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in software development across both startups and large tech companies
3+ years of engineering management experience
Strong technical skills in modern programming languages and frameworks (backend and/or fullstack; Kotlin, TypeScript, React)
Demonstrated experience leading and influencing teams of 5-10+ engineers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of cloud technologies and architectures
Experience in building scalable, high-availability systems with focus on simplicity and security
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience partnering with product organization to build a robust roadmap
Willingness to work hybrid in downtown Seattle two days per week and occasionally travel to Bangkok
AI literacy: ability to use AI in daily workflow
