About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell pest management services and products to new and existing commercial customers
  • Call on hospitality, food and beverage processing, healthcare, retail, and other market segments
  • Create new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking, leads, referrals, and cross-selling
  • Visually inspect buildings for pests, pest harborage, and pest entries
  • Sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance based on inspection findings
  • Develop territory strategies to exceed sales targets
  • Maintain knowledge of programs, protocols, pricing policies, and service offerings
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maximize growth and deliver outstanding service solutions
  • Record daily activities and sales performance in the company sales CRM
  • Travel throughout assigned territories, up to 100% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license from current state of residence
  • Strong social, customer service, and communication skills
  • Preferred two years of business-to-business sales experience
  • Prospecting skills including cold calling, lead generation, and networking preferred
  • Self-motivated hunter’s mentality and ability to work independently
  • Must obtain required industry licenses, provided and paid for by the company
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • Comfort working with pests and in basements, crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, narrow aisles, and passageways
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time within assigned territories
