About the role
- Oversee the daily operations of the first party auto claims department.
- Ensure the timely, accurate, and fair resolution of claims filed by company branches.
- Direct and supervise a team of 1st party auto adjusters.
- Monitor workflow and pending counts to ensure equitable distribution of assignments.
- Conduct regular file audits to ensure compliance with company Best Practices.
- Review and approve settlements exceeding the adjuster authority levels.
- Collaborate with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to identify and mitigate fraudulent claims.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and implement process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in auto insurance claims
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Relevant industry certifications (AIC,CPCU) preferred
- Active adjuster licenses in required jurisdictions preferred
