About the role
- Responsible for qualifying, developing and continuously improving supplier quality and performance
- Reduce quality costs within the assigned material groups
- Support supplier inquiries, RFx processes and supplier selection
- Support and develop suppliers on site (onsite)
- Approve materials during project execution based on defined milestones
- Conduct regular audits as lead auditor to ensure and improve quality
- Work closely with Purchasing, Design/Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing
- Continuously analyze and optimize internal and external processes
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3–5 years' experience in supplier quality, preferably in mechanical engineering or the automotive industry
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office
- Certified auditor for VDA 6.3 and ISO 9001; AQAP 2110/2310 qualification desirable
- Knowledge of quality planning methods (e.g., APQP, QFD, FMEA)
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to undertake regular international travel
