About the role

  • Responsible for maintaining the uptime of propulsion systems in the field.
  • Manage the complete service cycle from identifying technical problems to solving them.
  • Globally and independently carry out and lead repairs and inspections of gearboxes including attached systems.
  • Supervise assembling and commissioning of new gearboxes.
  • Troubleshooting of hydraulic and PLC controlled systems.
  • Reporting and advising the management and customer.

Requirements

  • Completed at least MBO-4 education in mechanical engineering or marine mechanical engineering.
  • A strong understanding of both technical products and client needs.
  • Flexible, independent, client and a result oriented attitude.
  • Problem solving abilities and good contact skills.
  • Willingness to travel globally extensively.
  • Experience in the maritime industry or service sector is an advantage.
  • Experience with (ship) propulsion installations.
  • Affinity with modern control techniques.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
  • Basic reporting skills in MS Office.
