About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct clinical services to individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders
Conduct comprehensive assessments (biopsychosocial and ASAM level of care determinations)
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide individual counseling sessions based on medical necessity
Facilitate group therapy sessions (IOP and OP), including: Psychoeducation, Relapse prevention, Coping and life skills
Collaborate with therapists, PRP staff, medical providers, and care team members
Coordinate referrals to detox, higher levels of care, and community resources
Support discharge planning and aftercare services
Complete progress notes within 24–48 hours of service delivery
Maintain documentation in compliance with CARF standards, Maryland COMAR regulations, Medicaid/payer requirements
Conduct treatment plan reviews and ASAM reassessments as required
Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment when necessary
Support clients with relapse prevention and stabilization strategies
Attend clinical supervision, team meetings and case conferences, required trainings and quality improvement activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Must hold one of the following Maryland credentials: ADT CSC-AD CAC-AD LCADC Or a licensed mental health professional recognized by the State of Maryland
Minimum 2 years of substance use counseling experience preferred
Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, MI, relapse prevention)
Strong documentation and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
