Senior Technical Recruiter – 3 Month Contract

Account Manager

• Own and Close Strategic Utility Deals
• Develop, advance, and close complex enterprise partnerships with utilities. Own the entire sales lifecycle—from opportunity creation and early stakeholder engagement through proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
• Create and Drive Pipeline
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across utilities. This role requires a proactive hunter mentality: identifying whitespace, creating urgency, and converting interest into executed agreements.
• Market Creation & Strategic Positioning
• Help utilities understand the value of residential virtual power plants and flexible load resources. Translate emerging grid challenges—capacity constraints, electrification, reliability needs—into actionable opportunities for Renew Home solutions.
• Executive Relationship Building
• Establish trusted relationships with senior leaders across utility organizations, including executives responsible for grid planning, demand response, DER strategy, regulatory affairs, and innovation.
• Navigate Complex Utility Ecosystems
• Work across utilities, DER platform providers, program implementers, regulators, and market operators to align stakeholders and move deals forward in complex, multi-party environments.
• Represent Renew Home in the Industry
• Actively engage in industry events, conferences, and working groups to expand Renew Home’s presence and identify new opportunities to advance virtual power plants and grid flexibility.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with internal product, regulatory, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure customer needs are translated into scalable offerings and successful program deployments.

Director of Utility Partnerships

General Counsel

• Serve as counsel in preparing, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements, with a focus on SaaS, services, and procurement agreements.
• Support commercial contracts, partnerships including with regulated electric utilities, and transactions that support consumer energy solutions.
• Advise cross-functional teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects of product development, launch, licensing, distribution, and marketing.

• Execute a set of priority Home Opportunities
• Take ownership of specific Home Opportunities from the broader roadmap, working closely with product management, design, ops, legal, and external partners.
• Drive product discovery, requirements definition, and execution, delivering consumer experiences that help users save in new ways.
• Translate partner requirements into clear consumer-facing product needs and collaborate with engineering and design to deliver high-quality, intuitive features.

• Serve as the technical counterpart to Partnerships in utility and partner-facing meetings.

• Act as a technical expert in meetings with utility engineers, planners, DERMS, and implementation partners.
• Address questions related to solution capabilities, dispatch operations, performance expectations, Measurement & Verification (M&V), and grid impact.

• Prepare and revise legal documents and, correspondence as directed by in-house lawyers.
• Support administration of commercial agreements, including confidentiality agreements.
• Contribute to agile but responsible process development for escalation and approval of high-risk projects or agreements.

• Texas Entity Close: Lead the preparation of the monthly close process for the Texas entity, ensuring it is completed accurately and strictly within timelines.
• Intercompany Accounting: Prepare intercompany entries based on specific agreements, ensuring full understanding of both Tax and US GAAP implications.
• Financial Analysis: Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure proper General Ledger coding and department allocation on financial statements; implement process improvements to ensure coding accuracy at the source.
• Reporting: Prepare quarterly reports for debt covenants and assist in the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Large Data Management: Utilize strong excel skills and working knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio to generate and analyze large data sets using existing report scripts for the preparation of the month-end entries for our Texas subsidiary.
• Payroll Accounting & Oversight
• Process Management: Establish and enforce payroll processes to ensure proper accounting methods in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Review & Approval: Execute a comprehensive review and approval of payroll for timely submission on a bi-monthly basis.
• Accruals: Prepare accurate bonus accruals as part of the month-end close.
• Audit, Compliance & Tax
• Audit Support: Support annual audits with external auditors and complete internal control testing on a quarterly basis.
