About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute regional channel engagement plans for Renesas solutions and new product introductions
  • Create marketing programs that increase distributor awareness, readiness, and adoption
  • Establish distributor- and account-specific engagement strategies with Sales
  • Coordinate product launches, solution campaigns, and strategic market initiatives
  • Lead presentations, workshops, and technical marketing sessions for distributors and mass-market customers
  • Drive early customer engagement to identify application-level business opportunities
  • Build relationships with distributors, customers, and ecosystem partners
  • Identify product opportunities, competitive differentiation, and emerging customer requirements
  • Convert identified opportunities into customer engagements and business growth
  • Position and promote application-focused solutions across Industrial and Building Automation markets
  • Enable distributor and sales teams with messaging, use cases, market context, and solution knowledge
  • Champion cross-business and system-level initiatives spanning multiple Renesas product portfolios
  • Serve as a regional connector across Business Development, Sales, FAEs, Marketing, Product Groups, and Solutions teams
  • Represent regional customer and channel requirements in corporate planning discussions
  • Capture competitive intelligence, customer feedback, market trends, and unmet application needs
  • Influence future solution development, positioning, and new product introduction priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, product or channel marketing, technical sales, or a related customer-facing commercial role
  • Experience preferably within the semiconductor or electronics industry
  • Must be locally based in the San Diego, California or Phoenix, Arizona area
  • Able to regularly engage with distributor partners, customers, and Renesas teams throughout the region
  • Strong understanding of Industrial markets, including Building Automation, Industrial Automation, Smart Infrastructure, or Energy
  • Demonstrated success developing distributor, customer, and ecosystem relationships and converting market opportunities into business growth
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, solution launches, channel enablement, or go-to-market initiatives
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical products and solutions in an application- and customer-focused manner
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, analytical skills, and communication capabilities
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across Sales, FAEs, Product Management, Marketing, Business Development, and other functions within a global matrixed organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
