Architect and own the data models, pipelines, and tooling that power analytics across the company.
Design and maintain performant, reliable data models and pipelines to enable self-service analytics, flexible querying, and advanced data science use cases.
Partner with stakeholders to establish clear, documented, company-wide data definitions as the source of truth.
Develop internal tooling for auditing, validation, and discovery to make data easy to use correctly and difficult to misuse.
Translate complex business logic into accurate, trustworthy datasets and champion best practices for data modeling and pipeline development.
Serve as a data steward and subject-matter expert for key business domains; collaborate with the Data Platform team to enhance scale and performance.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams to drive strategic decisions, operational insights, and advanced experimentation.
Requirements
8+ years working with large-scale data in a modern tech environment.
Proven expertise in SQL (clean, performant, and scalable queries).
6+ years with Snowflake or BigQuery and advanced modeling techniques (dimensional, data vault, etc.).
2+ years using dbt or Spark-based data pipelines.
Proficient in Python with comfort across diverse data structures and serialization formats.
Familiarity with BI tools such as Metabase.
Strong written and verbal communication; clear, precise writer and presenter with passion for documentation and data quality.
Experience translating complex business logic into accurate, trustworthy datasets and championing best practices for data modeling and pipeline development.
Ability to partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams and serve as a data steward.
