About the role
- Build solutions that solve for payroll, benefits, and other services Remote offers
- Own end-to-end experience including services powered by both humans and software
- Lead solutions with involvement from senior product team members and work autonomously on simple features
- Manage internal expectations for your team’s projects, products, and features
- Contribute to tactical and strategic decision-making for your business area
- Collaborate with senior product members to shape cross-department and cross-team solutions
- Drive roadmap and create long-term strategic plans for your product area
- Form near-term strategic vision incorporating market research and competitive analysis
- Be subject matter expert for your product area and contribute to scaling and growth plans
- Ship iterative improvements, align work to key business KPIs, and deliver consistent throughput and ROI
- Work with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to build solutions to important customer problems
- Communicate and promote the work of your team, work asynchronously and transparently
- Develop into a subject matter expert for mobile experiences
Requirements
- Experience as product manager in a high-growth company
- Experience working in payroll, HR, benefits, fintech, or similar
- Great judgment making both strategic (what to prioritize) and tactical (feature scope) decisions
- Demonstrable, self-driven results that have moved a product in the right direction
- A strong sense of product design (UX)
- A passion for products that just work, even if the problems they solve are boring and complicated
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, including across different departments (e.g. business operations, sales, etc.)
- Business-level proficiency writing and speaking English
