About the role
- Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites using modern, scalable best practices.
- Translate Figma or design files into clean, responsive, and accessible WordPress builds.
- Build and maintain custom post types, templates, and reusable components.
- Optimize site speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals.
- Implement technical SEO best practices across site structure, templates, and content.
- Manage plugins responsibly with a focus on stability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, and Account Managers to deliver projects on schedule.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining WordPress websites (agency or client-facing environments preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress core architecture.
- Hands-on experience with modern page builders such as Elementor (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, site performance optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience building custom post types, templates, and reusable components.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and working with staging/production environments.
- Strong attention to detail, code quality, and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
