About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare journal entries including accruals, amortization, and allocations
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Record rental income and tenant billings
Prepare and reconcile CAM and tenant recoveries
Track prepaid expenses, security deposits, and escrows
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
Monitor rent collections and AR aging
Assist with delinquency reporting and follow-up
Review and process property-related invoices
Prepare property-level financial statements
Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis
Assist in annual budget preparation and reforecasting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2–5 years accounting experience; real estate preferred
Knowledge of property accounting principles
Experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable property accounting software
Experience booking equity entries and intercompany transactions
Understanding of entity hierarchies and their accounting treatment across real estate ownership structures
Comfortable with fixed asset accounting and depreciation methodologies
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling
