About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the design process end-to-end for the squad, including discovery, stakeholder interviews, user research, data analysis, problem framing, solution exploration, and shipping polished UI
  • Design complex workflows such as multi-country payroll approval flows, contract amendment processes, and compliance dashboards
  • Plan and lead user research, including interviews, usability tests, and contextual inquiry
  • Pair with engineers on implementation, review staging builds, file precise issues, and suggest CSS fixes
  • Evolve the design system by contributing components, improving documentation, and supporting consistent design decisions
  • Advocate for accessibility and internationalisation, including WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, right-to-left languages, date format localisation, and variable-length translations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–7 years designing digital products, including at least 2 years on B2B or SaaS platforms
  • Portfolio demonstrating problem framing, trade-off decisions, research insights, and post-launch performance
  • Deep fluency in Figma, including scalable file structures, component naming, and libraries
  • AI proficiency in the design process
  • Proven experience designing complex, data-rich interfaces such as dashboards, multi-step workflows, and forms
  • Ability to independently plan and lead user research, recruit participants, run sessions, and synthesise findings
  • Strong communication skills for explaining design decisions to engineers, PMs, and executives
  • Bonus: domain experience in HR-tech, payroll, fintech, or compliance-heavy SaaS
  • Bonus: familiarity with EOR, global payroll, or contractor management
  • Bonus: experience building or maintaining a design system
  • Bonus: front-end knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic React concepts
