About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and execute Remitly's strategic partnerships roadmap
- Lead end-to-end deal execution
- Own strategic relationships with Remitly's most important existing partners
- Identify and evaluate adjacent business opportunities
- Contribute to corporate strategy by synthesizing partnership pipeline insights
- Lead initial M&A evaluation and screening
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance
- Represent Remitly at industry conferences and in executive-level meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, or corporate strategy
- Significant experience in payments, fintech, or financial services
- Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex partnerships
- Deep understanding of the global payments ecosystem
- Experience evaluating and executing M&A transactions or strategic investments
- Strong commercial acumen
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and a self-directed approach
