About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Journal development: you will balance maintaining the superior performance of a portfolio of titles with supporting goals around accelerated growth of quality content.
  • Editor appointments: you will carefully manage new editor appointments and ensure your journals have editorial structures that are diverse and dynamic.
  • Community engagement: you will engage with customers through careful relationship-management and regular communication.
  • Brand visibility: you will improve the visibility of your journal brands and our company tools and services through effective outreach and keeping an eye on the competition.
  • Project management: you will champion select initiatives in the team, following up on actions and recommendations and ensuring team engagement and delivery.
  • Teamwork: you will work closely with colleagues to help deliver on collaborative projects and goals.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Are fluent in English (verbal and written communication).
  • Have a minimum education to bachelor's degree level.
  • An educational background in a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Have work experience of 2-3 years in a publishing role or in academic research is desirable.
  • The role level offered will depend on experience.
  • Pro-active, good negotiating and interpersonal skills; flexible and adaptable.
  • Able to work efficiently and productively with colleagues and customers at various levels, in various locations, and from diverse cultures, and be a role model for others.
  • Have a can-do attitude and team-oriented approach are essential for success.
