About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the regional data protection and privacy programme
Provide expert advice and guidance on data protection regulations, including GDPR, POPIA, PDPL and related privacy requirements
Conduct and oversee privacy impact assessments, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies, guidance, processes, controls, and governance frameworks
Partner with business leaders and functional teams to embed privacy-by-design principles across projects and operations
Monitor privacy risks, compliance activities, and regulatory developments
Drive remediation activities and support the resolution of compliance gaps, risks, and audit findings
Design and deliver privacy awareness, training, and communications programmes
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years’ experience in data protection and privacy compliance
Fluency in both English and German (Arabic skills advantageous)
Experience leading complex compliance programmes, initiatives, or transformation activities across multiple stakeholders
Skilled in using OneTrust (DSAR, Inventory, Assessment, Cookie modules)
Recognised privacy certification (e.g. ISEB, CIPP/E, CIPM); legal or data governance degree preferred
Experience working in international or matrix organisations and collaborating with global teams
