About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review newly submitted manuscripts for ethical and scientific compliance and completeness.
- Review to-be-accepted manuscripts for adherence to our publishing and ethical standards.
- Spot-check the performance of external academic editors and provide structured feedback to internal colleagues.
- Support technical queries from external editors.
- Contribute to the systematic chasing of pending tasks and the management of a backlog.
- Assist in the editorial process as required as the journal evolves.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Have a MSc degree (or equivalent) in life, medical, social or physical sciences.
- Possess an enthusiastic attitude, great analytical skill and the ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Be able to adapt to change, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and prioritize individually.
- Have great interpersonal skills within an international team.
- Be able to work equally well collaboratively or individually without continuous supervision in an ever-changing environment
- Be PC proficient with expertise in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel).
