About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, analyze, test, install, and support Epic-related information system solutions
  • Consult with enterprise departments on system application issues and serve as technical coordinator with outside vendors
  • Complete Epic certifications, training, projects, and testing
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and business process knowledge to project teams
  • Define requirements for new systems and assist with project plans
  • Participate in vendor selection, demonstrations, functional comparisons, and contract/statement-of-work development
  • Develop process diagrams, screen layouts, design specifications, system builds, and unit tests
  • Participate in business-process testing, training-material development, end-user training, and go-live support
  • Provide technical support and timely incident-ticket resolution for system end users
  • Maintain supported software, communicate updates and enhancements, and maintain detailed system documentation
  • Lead current-state analysis, alternative-solution development, system design, testing, and implementation activities
  • Develop project plans and comprehensive test plans for implementations and upgrades
  • Coordinate cross-functional integrated testing, go-live resources, change management, optimization, and issue resolution
  • Advise the supervisor on project progress and key issues
  • Perform other assignments specified by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two to three years’ experience with information technology application development, training, and implementation in a healthcare setting
  • At least five years of Epic experience
  • At least two Epic certifications
  • Proficiency in the assigned Epic module
  • Epic certifications required
  • Hospital Billing certification in Resolute Hospital Billing, Claims, Electronic Remittance, Contracts, and Hospice Claims, where applicable
  • Professional Billing certification in Resolute Professional Billing and Charge Router, where applicable
  • Prior hospital billing revenue cycle workflow experience, revenue cycle management understanding, and/or billing operations experience is beneficial
  • Prior ambulatory revenue cycle workflow experience, revenue cycle management understanding, and/or billing operations experience is beneficial
  • Ability to function independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to communicate successfully at all organizational levels
