About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and oversee competitive compensation structures/processes, comprehensive benefits packages, and recognition programs.
  • Manage complex leave programs (FMLA, sabbaticals, disability) with empathy and policy adherence.
  • Oversee the full talent lifecycle, including modern recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Create employee engagement strategies to support changes, high performance and retention.
  • Translate institutional goals and academic priorities into a sequenced, actionable workforce strategy.
  • Leverage Workday proactively to continuously improve, streamline, and automate talent processes.
  • Lead a proactive compliance process, anticipating shifts in higher education, federal, state, and local employment laws.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 - 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with 2 - 3 years at a director level in a similar sized organization.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Senior leaders to create strategies and solutions in an agile and accelerated approach.
  • Proven experience leveraging Workday or other HCM as a primary HRIS to automate processes and generate advanced analytics.
