About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage risk related to commercial construction loan projects across the Bank’s footprint
  • Review construction contracts and related documents for policy compliance and outstanding issues
  • Review construction loan requirements with field teams and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Advise field teams as a subject matter expert on commercial construction projects
  • Obtain, review, and approve preliminary construction documentation before loan closing
  • Evaluate and approve draw requests and verify required documentation
  • Support senior analysts in resolving construction-related field issues
  • Create and maintain balanced sources and uses worksheets, including costs, reallocations, and change orders
  • Reconcile contractor draw requests with available loan funds
  • Partner with lenders on agent and non-agent projects
  • Assign and manage third-party construction consulting inspection firms
  • Maintain third-party partner relationships and complete post-project scorecards as needed
  • Secure final construction completion documents and verify resolution of outstanding issues
  • Assist with training and mentoring new construction loan monitoring analysts
  • Partner with Commercial Banking, Real Estate Banking, Real Estate Corporate Banking, Regions Equipment Finance, Specialized and Diversified Industries, Commercial Banking Credit Services, Capital Markets, and Problem Asset Management segments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of previous real estate underwriting, construction loan disbursement, loan fulfillment, or related commercial banking experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of previous real estate underwriting, construction loan disbursement, loan fulfillment, or related commercial banking experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects under sensitive time constraints
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work onsite 4 days per week out of the Hoover, AL, Atlanta, GA, or Charlotte, NC office
  • This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay
