About the role

  • Verification of the factual and arithmetical correctness of invoices
  • Coding, posting and archiving of incoming/supplier invoices
  • Maintenance and management of master data
  • Oversight and reconciliation of accounts
  • Independent preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, primarily for small and medium-sized corporations under HGB
  • Processing and posting of ongoing business transactions (general ledger and sub-ledgers)
  • Preparation of analyses and reports based on the financial statements

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training or a degree from a university/university of applied sciences in Business Administration (BWL)
  • Solid experience in financial accounting
  • Confident knowledge of balance sheets and HGB-related topics, including independently establishing provisions
  • Direct experience in financial accounting (FiBu) or controlling and performed monthly accruals/deferrals (ARAPs)
  • Posting of ongoing transactions and knowledge of VAT group taxation (Umsatzsteuerorganschaft)
  • Familiarity with commercial ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central
  • Very good MS Office skills
