About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support in the design and integration of customer applications
Support the sales and channel organizations with technical assistance and quotations management
Listen to and provide the Voice of the Customer
Provide training and follow-up technical support for customers and distributors
Communicate professionally via telephone, e-mail and occasionally in person
Aids the customer in defining technical & commercial requirements
Works with Account Managers to manage assigned accounts for product direction, profitability, growth, and attaining sales objectives
Collaborates with internal teams to develop standard procedures and policies to support lean methods in the office environment and performance measurement metrics
Assists in defining and implementing marketing plans to gain new customers and achieve sales growth objectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Engineering degree preferred
Previous technical support, application engineering or customer interfacing experience a plus
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook)
Previous experience with a CRM system preferred (SFDC desirable)
Previous experience with an ERP system preferred (Oracle desirable)
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
Willingness to obtain functional knowledge of company products, policies and procedures
Fluent in English but also other languages such as German or French is an advantage
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Ability to understand and respond to customers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Ability to work well in stressful situations and to remain calm and positive.
