Application Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the technical liaison for the highly valued customers assigned
- Translate customer drawings, specification, and requests into product solutions
- Understand customer application to establish tests and procedures for qualifying products
- Identify opportunities to bring value to the customer
- Act as the subject matter expert in Motors and Drives at customer sites
- Provide leadership and timely resolution to outstanding customer issues
- Support basic product tear down analysis of reliability returns for root cause and corrective action
- Lead or support internal qualification efforts on customer impacting design changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC, commercial appliance, commercial refrigeration, or electric motor Industry
- Demonstrated organizational skills with emphasis on documentation
- Ability to gather requirements, write specifications, test plans, and application notes
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong relationship and team-building skills; Including conflict resolution
- Individual must be proactive, high energy and have strong problem solving skills
- Strong time management skills
- Willingness and Ability to learn, help, create and adapt to new technologies
- Aptitude for troubleshooting computer hardware and software program issues
- Ability to travel and work at a customer site for an extended period of time
