About the role
- Primary owner responsible for arranging both inbound & outbound transportation between Suppliers, Plants, DC’s and Customers.
- Manage shipment routings that consist of shipment consolidation and mode swapping – ensuring business alignment to savings goals are met.
- Manages and Coordinates all Freight Spot Buy/Expedite requests with Carriers of all Modes to leverage best cost scenario for Regal Rexnord and all Business Segments.
- Works with internal partners (Credit, Planning, Shipping, etc.) to drive resolution on customer-impacting issues.
- Receiving and responding to inbound telephone calls and web/email inquiries from customers, freight forwarders, field sales and plant personnel
- Conducts analysis for Logistics and Distribution and other key areas to create accurate and timely decisions for Business results.
- Align Logistics, Distribution, Customer Service, Sales, and Manufacturing to facilitate internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Continuously analyze data to identify issues and opportunities within the Regal Rexnord network and provide workable solutions to obtain cost and performance benefits.
- Identify KPI’s that align with critical success factors for the Businesses – presenting weekly to key stakeholders.
- Independently driving action to produce actionable and data driven outcome.
- Work with Corporate Sourcing Team and Segment Leaders to foster Positive Shipper Profile Attributes
- Dual ERP support provided by all levels of Domestic Logistics team – supporting the business growing needs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 Years of related work experience in Logistics, Operations, Warehouse or Distribution
- Strong Communication / Influencing skills capable of maintaining positive internal/external relationships.
- Proven ability to take on tasks and drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or Related Field Experience
- Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance preferred.
- General knowledge and skill with Logistics
- Knowledgeable in all modes of Transportation – TL, LTL, Air, Small Package
- Experience with SAP, Oracle (or other ERP systems) NAV, SPEX, Tableau, and Salesforce preferred.
