About the role
- Contribute to the design, procurement, construction, and implementation of factory projects in the Andover microfactory. Work alongside senior engineers in working on large factory improvement projects, and gain exposure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate in the design of factory documentation, factory layouts, and factory concepts, and also collaborate in research on novel construction processes and automated work cell concepts
- Assist in creating and driving data-driven experiments. Document and summarize findings, presenting them to the team for collaborative discussion. Create new models for calculating factory performance in both individual areas and across the whole area.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related STEM discipline
- Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, construction engineering, or in factory environments is a plus
- Skills in CAD Software, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, or modeling software like OnShape or CATIA are a plus
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently solve problems. Strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong passion for automation, the build environment, and improving processes is highly valued
