Prepare and record freight and duty accruals for both raw materials and finished goods
Maintain and reconcile in-transit accruals
Process brand marketing gifting reclasses and other ad-hoc inventory-related journal entries
Perform flux analysis for both BS account recs and month-end P&L entries
Compile WIP schedules and book raw material consumption journal entries
Create ad-hoc COGS-related entries and put together gross margin reporting
Prepare account reconciliations, such as prepaid inventory and accrued purchasing (RNV)
Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Innovation, FP&A, and Purchasing to ensure accuracy of inventory records and entries
Analyze large data sets and run reports to support inventory reconciliations and month-end close activities in compliance with SOX and GAAP regulations
Support audit requests and provide accurate documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Excel – Pivot Tables, XLookup, VLookup, Index Match, Sumifs
2-3+ years’ experience in accounting (preferably in inventory accounting, manufacturing, or retail/fashion)
Large-scale ERP experience, such as NetSuite, Oracle etc. (a big plus for NetSuite)
Strong ability to problem solve, gather and analyze relevant information, and help with recommendations for resolutions
Ability to multitask and drive actions to completion to meet all deadlines
Must be able to collaborate and build positive relationships both within Finance as well as cross-functionally, to make recommendations, and drive process improvements effectively
Positive “can do” attitude and highly analytical; enjoys challenges
Detail-oriented and comfortable working with large data sets
Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
