About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support patients throughout the Reesi process, from the initial conversation through referral to a suitable study center and beyond
- Serve as a dedicated point of contact for patients
- Conduct personal phone conversations with cancer patients seeking suitable clinical trials
- Systematically collect relevant information about patients’ conditions and previous treatments using structured medical conversation guides
- Answer questions about the process and clearly explain the next steps
- Support referrals to suitable study centers and coordinate the necessary steps
- Keep track of follow-ups
- Carefully document conversation details in the system
- Support basic operational and quality assurance tasks related to patient support
- Further develop FAQs, conversation guides, and processes based on real patient experiences
- Depending on experience and interests, take responsibility for individual topics and small projects within Patient Operations
- Do not provide medical advice or make treatment decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous medical experience is required
- Experience as a Study Nurse, Medical Assistant (MFA), Clinical Trial Assistant, healthcare professional, or a comparable medical qualification or professional background
- Ability to confidently understand and systematically record medical information
- Empathetic and compassionate communication with cancer patients, including during difficult or emotional conversations
- Willingness to take responsibility and reliably follow tasks through to completion
- Careful documentation and a structured approach to work
- Fluency in German
- Experience in oncology is a plus, but not required
- Experience with clinical trials is a plus, but not required
- Current or previous experience as a Study Nurse or Clinical Trial Assistant is a plus, but not required
